In an attempt to avoid complete washouts like last night, I would suggest that people post their general availability between now and the end of the month. If you can regularly do or not do a particularl day of the week, then say so, or if you will be away for an extended period. So, leading by example:
I am generally available every night, from about 7ish. I am also available all-day Saturday and Sunday afternoons/evenings. This is all subject to the following exceptions – on Monday 18 August, I might not be available at all; Tuesday 19 August, I probably wont be in before 9; and if I am on at all between Wednesday 20 and Monday 25 August it will be by way of low powered laptop; I will be back on on Tuesday 26 August.

I had so much fun in the labs on Tuesday that I want to do it again!
(OK, so there was the thing with the owl that had more HP than me, but I’m over that now…)
There’s an offchance I can make tomorrow night as I think I’m too old to go out 2 nights in a row…
Would anyone else be provisionally up for it? I may have to cancel as I’d sorta made sorta plans (some of which involve trying not to be kicked by a bullfighting horse while I’m riding a bike – I ought to be in the circus) but I thought I’d dip a toe in the water and see what bit?

(edit: Mike can’t make it, so we’re looking for a healer if possible… either that or I’m taking lots of pots along…)

With all the talk of WotLK at the minute it got me thinking about what I want to do before the expansion hits. The following have risen to the top of my list:
- Have 4 or 5 Epic bits of gear for my Shammy – This is partially to make levelling in Northrend that little bit easier and just because it breaks things up.
- Continue to do dailies for the easy 100g you make – one thing is for sure you are going to need cash when the expansion hits. Professions, new skills and respecs all need to be paid for.
- Level my Druid to as close to 70 as possible (only level 16 now) – The main reason I want to do this is so I have the option of a healer or tank when the expansion hits. Sure I could level a DK for a tank but I have a feeling healers will be short of the ground so if I can egt a druid to 80 I can spec him for healing and have my Shammy elemental or Enhancement.
So what do you have planned for before the expansion hits?

So I had a pretty good weekend even if there was no one on!!…(where you all gone?).
Firstly I managed to get my Epic Flying Mount and boy was it worth every penny I was about 800g short but the quests in QD which yield about 100-150g(with some lucky drops) per day, some questing in Shadowmoon and the sale of Blade of Wizardry (yielding 1200g) help me meet and pass the 5200g price tag (which I know will drop before the expansion…but it’s too fast to miss out on).
Secondly I managed to get my first piece of Epic Armor. Rather than wait for to get upgrade my one handers which require a large amount honour and EotS marks I decided to go for the Merciless Gladiator’s Linked Gauntlets. These gave me a major upgrade right away. Got them enchanted with +15 Strength as well…
So now the focus is on getting more cash and getting my next epic piece, so probably the Shoulders….

- The continent of Northrend is now available! To travel there, visit one of four transportation masters in either Orgrimmar, Undercity, Stormwind Harbor,or Menethil Harbor.
- The floating magical city of Dalaran is now available!
- The Barber Shop has been implemented and you can now visit one of the Barber Shops in the major cities to change your appearance.
- The all new Achievement System has been implemented.
- Transportation between Howling Fjord and Borean Tundra can be found at the Tuskarr villages in those zones.
- The level cap is currently set to 77.

First up, an apology.
I started my new job on Monday, and I’ve been going at it quite hard, which hasn’t left terribly much energy in the evenings for WoW. I’m hoping that I can get onto more of an even keel in the future though, and play a bit more.
Secondly, I’m currently not loving PvP on Zejiel — can’t seem to get my head around the techniques hunters need in the BGs or the Arena. But I am happy to play him in stances while getting Sharqor up to speed. Sharqor I’m loving the PvP on — Arathi Basin 4 life!
Thirdly, and most importantly, what shall we do now? Steve’s due back by Monday, Mike’s back with us, we have a newly minted 70 Shammy, and the whole of the 70 instance content before us. So shall we kick off with Old Hillsbrad on Monday, as was mooted for last week, or shall we do something else. I have no urgent requirements for anything on Zej. His gear is basically OK, and he’s got his Kara Shadow Labs quest to do, but beyond that, I’m up for anything?
Any preferences?
