Arena Gods

Fon and I took the the 2v2 arena last night and were immediately hailed as the new super heroes of the arena :)

It seems that the 2v2 arena is the best place to learn and gain points. It’s much closer to world pvp rather than bg’s, but requires less planning, communication and teamwork than the 3v3 seems to. Might be worth getting the headsets out too, it helps to be able to change tactics half way through.

Plus it was fun :)

Thought it mu be worth having a set of pages for tactics etc in the arena, we seem much more able to field 2 players at the same time than 5, so this might be thr route forwards for us rather than guild instances?

  • Sounds good but for clarity… who posted this and what toon class were you? :-)

I’m assuming some sort of DPSer?

I agree that getting pvp purpz is going to be less a logistical headache than instancing. Nothing in the game so far has come close to matching instances for me but for sheer lewt pvp does seem to be a way forward. Interesting that arena is getting a little shake up and/or reset with Wrath so maybe that’s a good time to start, especially as everyone else will be levelling DKs through Outland…

  • It was Ant, Steve. So, OP’d DPSers only ;) .

  • Ah… c’est la vie…

I guess once I have a two handed siege engine in each hand I’ll be able to wander into the arena and do a little smiting!

  • Actually, prot warriors don’t fare as badly as you might think, simply because they can soak so much damage.
